Poem: Feed Your Soul
" feed your soul "
Life is what you make of it
From conception to the grave
What you feed into your soul
Will affect the way you behave
When you step into the world
Make those first steps count
For when you place that foot to ground
The possibilities will surely mount
Were all brought into this world
Kicking and screaming the whole way
A fresh soul unbound by hate
New eyes to take in the day
Where does it go wrong
What seed does life plant
That grows up into
The idea that we can't
How is it that they learn
To fester in their hate
It's sad to see them there
Angry people left to fate
How do we fix it now
The error of our ways
Are we doomed to suffer
Through our remaining days
It goes back to our beginning
The way were trained to act
Our closest family and our friends
Are the cause and that's a fact
So if you're lost in the hateful mix
And you're searching for a brand new start
All you really have to do
Is look deep in your heart
The potential is in everyone
To be a better you
So dig deep my friend
Find the love that's true
Place it on a pedestal
So everyone can see
Your open heart is beautiful
Beautiful as can be
As people around take notice
I think you're going to find
The love it is reflected there
From every human kind
So please Feed your soul
A load of Love is what I say
And well start a movement
To brighten every day
